Donation in Memory of Elizabeth “Liz” Steinberg:

Elizabeth “Liz” Steinberg dedicated her life to making a difference. As a beloved teacher, wife, mother, grandmother (“Mimi”), and friend, she spent decades shaping the lives of children both inside and outside the classroom. Even after retiring from full-time teaching, Liz continued substitute teaching on Cape Cod because it allowed her to spend more time with the people she loved most—her grandchildren, Bella and Gunner.

Liz found joy in life’s simple pleasures: gardening, baking, reading, the beach, and gathering with family and friends. But above all else, she loved her community. She believed every child deserved to be encouraged, supported, and given the opportunity to grow.

To honor her remarkable life, Liz’s family has chosen to dedicate a set of swings and a memorial bench at the Teaticket Playground. These will serve as a lasting reminder of the kindness, compassion, and love she shared with generations of children and families.
